341.  Why repeat the destruction of Atlantis if it is possible to attract the beneficial aspects of the element of fire?
558.  The Atlanteans and also the Egyptians remembered the energy in the seed.  For the sake of this energy they placed seeds in the tombs, but wiser applications were forgotten.  The force of this energy could have powered great ships and other machinery.  Just as a touch of the hand can move a large object, so can the condensed energy of the seed produce prolonged power.  Even people near the seed can receive healthful revitalization.   -Morya:  Agni Yoga 1929

II, viii, 11.  On Sinai Her Voice rang out.  She assumed the image of Kali.  She was at the basis of the cult of Isis and Ishtar.  After Atlantis when a blow was inflicted upon the cult of the Spirit, the Mother of the World began to weave a new thread which will now begin to radiate.  –Leaves of Morya’s Garden 1925

17.  The spirit realizes that ascent is the page of wisdom on which is traced the entire power of cosmos and the manifestation of motion.  Progress cannot be affirmed on the lowest point of the great origin.  The temples of Atlantis knew this great principle.    -Morya:  Infinity 1, 1930

There is a Benign Form and a Malignant Form of Capitalism

What is meant by Federal Reserve System, central banking, capitalism, domination, dominion and gold standard?  How can present day civilization evolve without understanding these fundamental principles and deceptions?

“The unexamined life is not worth living,” said Socrates.  It isn’t terminology per se that requires close examination but principles and deceptions in living context. The pack-leader of dogs/wolves probably leads by domination.  Horses however are quite evolved; it isn’t domination that is their principle but it is a whole horse “culture”, if you will, that leads horses onward.  Mankind can build a power structure to dominate others, but to evolve/understand/transcend ourselves we require better than domination.  Mankind generally believe itself through technology to have surpassed and replaced the horse by mechanical horsepower; but there is more to horses than horsepower, much more.

Science, most people have been persuaded, is a domination of nature.  But the reality here is deep:  “To command nature one must first obey,” wrote Sir Francis Bacon; this axiom reveals that science requires more than domination.  Dominion, or taking dominion, in fact is not through power domination but through a harmonious balance and/or a golden mean approach–that is, wisdom unfolds her path.  Trees, birds, horses, and realization in man of fundamental principles all work their wonders to unfold an enlightened path.  Likewise with the gold standard.

Capitalism appears at first to simply describe a system where capital is a very key factor.  However, when capital (money) becomes the only driving raison d’etre of a whole economic system, the God to which all other factors bend or break, then we know this as monopoly capitalism or ruthless, greedy, rigged capitalism.  Thus there is a benign form and a malignant form of capitalism; many things concerning man are double-edged because thought itself can be so double-edged.  Man simply cannot afford to reduce himself to the level of dogs dominating dogs.  Since horses pick up the spirit of life out of the wind, so can we.      -Roger

The BBC is refusing to put up a statue to George Orwell because he was “too Left-wing”, we discovered this week. Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better demonstration of the corporation’s political naivety. Yes, Orwell was certainly on the Left – but he was the finest English essayist of the 20th century. Moreover, he had an unforgiving eye for the self-loathing whingers whom he encountered, among other places, at Broadcasting House.   http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/damianthompson/100177915/radical-islam-revives-an-ancient-hatred/

‘OH NO, Joan, we can’t possibly. It’s far too left-wing an idea.” That, according to Joan Bakewell, is how Mark Thompson, director-general of the BBC, dismissed her suggestion that a statue of George Orwell, a former employee of the Corporation, should be erected outside the new Broadcasting House in Oxford Circus. If there is one thing the BBC will not countenance it is left-wing ideas.  http://www.scotsman.com/scotland-on-sunday/opinion/comment/gerald-warner-statue-of-george-at-the-bbc-would-be-truly-orwellian-1-2489657

In a new fatwa, the Ittehad-e-Ulema Afghanistan (the Alliance of Islamic Clerics in Afghanistan), has ruled that Western-funded schools and mosques in Afghanistan are in violation of Islamic injunctions, as Islam forbids receiving salaries and funds from infidels.

The fatwa – excerpts of which were published by the Afghan Islamic Press, the Pashtu-language Pakistani daily Wrazpanra Wahdat, and The Frontier Post newspaper – was published in Pashtu and signed by clerics from different provinces of Afghanistan. Chief among them was Sheikh Abdullah Zakiri, a religious scholar from the Zakir area of Afghanistan’s Kandahar province who played a role in the Afghan jihad against the USSR during the 1980s.

F-16 C/D fighter jets to Taiwan

In a recent exclusive interview with the Liberty Times (the Taipei Times’ sister paper), the Romney campaign’s foreign and national security policy director Alex Wong confirmed the presidential hopeful’s inclination to sell the jets (instead of outmoded F16 A/Bs).

He added that while US President Barack Obama’s administration has held back on selling the (tech-enhanced version:  C/D) F-16s to Taiwan, “Governor Romney strongly believes that we should sell Taiwan those air fighters to ensure Taiwan’s ability to defend its democracy.”    http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2012/08/26/2003541206

Taliban attempts to kidnap family of jailed CIA informant in Pakistan

By

Published August 24, 2012

FoxNews.com

PESHAWAR –  The Taliban attempted to kidnap the brother and other relatives of the Pakistani doctor jailed for helping the CIA hunt down Usama Bin Laden, members of the family told Fox News.

The alleged attempted abduction happened on Monday, according to Qamar Afridi, a cousin of Dr. Shakil Afridi, when a man identifying himself as a representative of Afghan President Hamid Karzai met with a family lawyer in Peshawar to discuss the case. The man reportedly said the Afghan leader wanted to help the Afridi family, and was willing to offer them financial support in their efforts to free the doctor.

The man, who identified himself as Haji Hukam Khan and said he was “very close to Karzai,” asked the lawyer to bring Jamil (Dr. Afridi’s brother) and other family members to Kabul, Afghanistan to meet Karzai. “He wants to aid you,” Qamar said the man told the lawyer.

The family reacted to the offer with alarm because the Karzai government has shown no interest in the Afridi case. An Afghan official confirmed those suspicions on Friday, saying “no one from the Karzai administration has reached out to Afridi, nor do they intend to.”

Qamar said he had little doubt about who was behind what he is convinced was an attempted abduction.

“We believe it was the Taliban. It has to be … We firmly believe this is the Taliban trying to get us.”

Afridi was sentenced to 33 years in jail on May 23, 2012, a year to the day after his arrest. He was convicted of supporting and financing a terror network, in what the U.S. government considers to be trumped-up charges. The Taliban and their supporters in Pakistan have also declared Afridi a “sworn enemy.”

The attempted abduction is the latest in what has been a series of difficult ordeals facing the Afridi family. They have not been able to visit the surgeon in his jail cell in Peshawar since Aug. 2, only their third visit permitted since he was jailed in May. They were not allowed to talk him without senior prison officials present.

The doctor has also told his family that for the first six months after his arrest, he was kept handcuffed and in total darkness – attempts, he told his family, that were meant to leave him paralyzed and permanently blind. “Shakil told us that as a doctor he knew what long-term impact his body would suffer from prolonged physical restraint and by having no exposure to light,” said Qamar.

Afridi said that because of his knowledge of anatomy as a physician, he would try and do exercises to mitigate some of the harmful physical effects. All the same, Qamar said, the doctor now has “deeply sunken eyes in his head,” and his arms and hands have clearly been physically affected.

Afridi was moved from confinement by Pakistan’s intelligence service, the ISI, after his conviction in May. He was able to see that he had been held in a private residential property in what he recognized as the capital, Islamabad. He described it as being near Pakistan’s Supreme Court, in the very heart of the city.

The location and style of property bear similarities with that in which Bin Laden’s wives were housed after they were arrested by the ISI, Pakistan’s intelligence agency, following the U.S. raid on the Bin Laden complex at Abbottabad. The ISI held the women in a private residence a stone’s throw away from the same court complex, in a leafy, well-heeled neighborhood on the edge of the government quarter, close to a number of foreign embassies.

Afridi was then transferred to a Peshawar jail, where he was informed of his sentence by an assistant to tribal court judge, referred to as a political agent. That meeting lasted around 15 to 30 minutes. It is the only personal encounter he has had with any judicial official since he was apprehended by the ISI.

A ruling on Afridi’s appeal is expected by mid-September. Prosecution and defense lawyers will have an opportunity to present final arguments in the case at an Aug 30 hearing.

Afridi’s family says they have been denied access to the original prosecution file against him by the tribal court system. They also said there are 15 pages noticeably missing from the file that they did receive, including the verdict by the ruling jirga, a four-man group of tribal elders who heard his case.

The family says if the original verdict is not presented, it will be a fatal flaw in the prosecution’s case and would mean that, in theory, Shakil would have to be released. But they are not optimistic that would happen due to interference by the ISI.

The Afridis say they have also found themselves ostracized and in dire financial difficulties amid mounting legal costs. Afridi’s wife, who Qamar says is now in hiding somewhere in Punjab, is set to be fired from her job as a college principal in one of Pakistan’s most dangerous tribal towns.

Notices were published in the Pakistani media that informed of her imminent dismissal due to her prolonged absence.

The family says it cannot raise the $50,000 dollars it says is needed to fight the case and also to support the family’s basic needs. Shakil’s brother, Jamil, earns just $84 dollars a month as an 8th grade teacher in Multan.

The Afridi case has caught the attention of a handful of lawmakers on Capitol Hill, though political conventions and the presidential campaign have distracted from Afridi’s plight.
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is pushing for a vote on a bill that would strip Pakistan of all U.S. aid unless Afridi is released.

On the House side, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., has been pressing Afridi’s case for months, but has expressed concern about the administration’s commitment to Afridi’s freedom.

“It doesn’t appear that other people are taking this case seriously,” Rohrabacher said earlier this year. “If we let that person just hang on a limb and forget him, now that he’s put himself in danger for us — well shame on us.”

Obama ‘Using Israeli Paper to Foil Iran Strike’

Makor Rishon: IDF identifies U.S. “preventive action” against Israeli attack in collusion with Israeli pundits.
By Gil Ronen

8/24/2012

The United States is colluding with a top Israeli newspaper to stymie Israel’s efforts to strike Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and the IDF knows it, according to a leading nationalist pundit.

Writing in Friday’s edition of Makor Rishon, one of the Israel’s veteran journalists, Amnon Lord, paints a picture of intense U.S. meddling in internal Israeli political and security-oriented processes in an effort to prevent a successful Israeli strike on the weapon program meant to make it extinct.

“From a technical military point of view, Israel does not require any kind of coordination with the Americans,” writes Lord regarding the plan for a raid on Iran. “There is a concern that the Americans will learn of the date for an attack and try to prevent it in different ways. The Americans have not given the Israelis a feeling that they are true partners in the operative arena, in the past two years. On the contrary, the IDF has identified preventive American activity against an Iran operation.”

“This is particularly evident in the grave matter of the leaks regarding Azerbaijan in the past, about the Kurdish region, and recently in the publication of the flight paths to the target. All this is being produced by our ally, with the cooperation of one of the largest media platforms in Israel, which serves and assists the Obama administration against the government of Israel. The Americans are the ones who are feeding some of the arch-pundits with damaging information.”  http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/159249#utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=fanpage

Egypt: Clashes Erupt During Anti-Morsi Protest in Cairo

Hundreds of Egyptians hit the streets to demonstrate against President Morsi. Clashes erupt in Cairo.

By Elad Benari, Canada

8/24/2012
Hundreds of Egyptians hit the streets on Friday, to demonstrate against President Mohammed Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood. It was the first and most significant anti-Morsi rally since he was elected.

The biggest demonstration took place in Tahrir Square in the capital Cairo, where Morsi’s opponents, who are mostly from Egypt’s liberal stream, clashed with his supporters.

According to reports in Egypt, the sides began throwing stones and other objects at one another. It was also reported that security forces intervened and arrested some participants.

Demonstrations against Morsi were also held in several other cities in Egypt, but no violent incidents were recorded outside of Cairo. The protesters claimed that Morsi is trying to monopolize and centralize authority in Egypt and shouted, “Do not let one group to take over all of Egypt.”

The reason for the demonstrations against Morsi is his recent decision to cancel the changes in the constitution which gave broad powers to the army. Morsi announced the cancellation when he sacked the entire leadership of the country’s defense establishment, including Defense Minister Mohamed Hussein Tantawi and Chief of Staff Sami Anan.

Morsi’s move was criticized by his opponents. It was later speculated that Morsi’s decision to fire Tantawi and Anan was due to the fact that the two were planning a coup against him.

He reportedly fired the two men in order to take preventive measures, after receiving a request from several senior military officers, led by new Defense Minister Abdul-Fatah al-Sissi, who told him that Tantawi and Anan were planning to rob him of some of his authorities as president.

Al-Sissi and the officers claimed that the army intends to turn a planned million man protest, scheduled for next Friday, into a huge show of force against the Muslim Brotherhood. Thus, they said, the army planned to hurt Morsi.   http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/159249#utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=fanpage

Russian parliament adopts NGO ‘foreign agents’ bill  7-13-12     Journalists from some leading Russian news outlets demonstrated outside the Duma against the new libel law, which envisages fines of up to 5m rubles (£99,000; $153,000) for offenders. They warned that it would bring extra pressure on the media.  [Question #1:  were they arrested for illegal protest?!!]…

Some NGOs complain that they have to seek funding from abroad because they cannot get it from the Russian state. There are also fears that the bill could be used to restrict independent election monitoring.  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-18826661

22 May 2012

Russian police detain a protester at an unapproved rally in Moscow, 7 May   A bill which massively increases the size of fines for unapproved rallies in Russia has begun its passage through parliament amid strong protests.

MPs from President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party passed the bill in its first reading by a majority of 236 to 207 in the State Duma.

Rally organisers could face maximum fines of 1.5m roubles (£30,000; $48,000), up from 50,000 roubles.

Critics accused the ruling party of destroying democratic freedoms.

Sergei Mironov, leader of the opposition A Just Russia, said his party was boycotting the parliamentary readings. He said the “odious” bill was intended to “shut the people’s mouth”.  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-18165051

  1. The important thing is that these Wahhabis, in the pretext of fight against Bidah, make Muslim blood halal to them. They are busy spending billions of Saudi, Qatari and other Wahhabi govt money on brainwashing our innocent minds while slitting throats and exploding bombs on our children.

@NNL: yes, I am sick and tired of this cult that is shy of its own identity (“Wahhabi”) and prefers to hide behind mainstream Sunni Muslims. While these Wahhabies, who come in all shapes and sizes, present a highly educated way of preaching that easily deceives most Sunni masses with their fascinating dawa talks. People think of them as true preachers, while they all come with one hidden agenda….. Wahhabism!

    I have found a way of identifying a Wahhabi…..

“any person who is not: a) soft, b) kind-hearted, c) considerate to other human beings, and d) full of love, as our prophet (pbuh) was… but claims to be a Sunni Muslim, is bound to be a Wahhabi”.

  1. @NNL

My personal belief and affiliations doesn’t matter here but the weight of the logic that I present.

I agree that my understanding of different factions of wahhabi organizations and their competition with each other is very limited. But that is not my point.

All I am concerned with is the systematic and disguised approach of wahhabi organizations (using their host countries wealth) to plague the peaceful Sunni minds of the sub-continent with their extremist ideology.

So far they have been successful due to their remarkable potential in providing mercenaries for proxy wars. But with changes geo-political situation, they are redundant now.

  2. Very few people can actually distinguish this extremist ideology and often mistake them as another sect of Islam. While these wahhabi/salafi propagandists, disguised as common Muslim preachers, spread their version to uninformed Muslims. Very few of us can tell what is common among these:

    – Dr. Zakir Naik
    – Dr. Israr Ahmed (late)
    – Moulana Moudodi (late)
    – Al-Huda (Dr. Farhat Hashmi)
    – Bilal Philips
    – Sheikh Ahmed Deedat (late)
    – Hizb Tehreer
    – Jamaat Ud Dawa
    – Lashkar Taiba
    – Jamaat Islami
    – Jamiaat
    – Islamic Brotherhood

They are all Wahhabi/Salafi individuals and organizations. Some of them have really become popular among masses for their entertaining lectures.

There was no problem if they were preaching their ideology under their own brand name and not disguised as mainstream Sunni reformers.   http://pkpolitics.com/discuss/topic/why-shia-sunni-fight-all-the-time-in-pakistan/page/9
